Antisolar peaks
Antisolar peaks can be released from clamps (an arrow 1 on an illustration) and are turned to doors.
In antisolar peaks the cosmetic mirror is built in.
Illumination of mirrors joins automatically when moving (arrow 2) of a cover and is switched off at its return to a starting position. Besides, lighting is switched off also when closing an antisolar peak.
Between antisolar peaks the small put guard which it is possible to close space over an internal mirror is located.
Ashtrays
Forward ashtray
Opening
Press a forward wall (V) of an ashtray (address an illustration).
Extraction
Take an element for external levels (A) and take up.
Installation
Press an ashtray and drown it in a nest.
Closing
The ashtray can be closed only pressing its lower party (C).
Back ashtray
Opening
Open a cover.
Extraction
Undertake an open cover of the case and take the case up.
Installation
Insert an ashtray and press it down.
Lighter / Prikurivatel/elektrorozetka
The lighter turns on the boss's utaplivaniye.
When the heating spiral is heated, the boss of the lighter will be pushed out – at the same time at once take it from a nest for use.
The electrosocket of 12 Volts located in a lighter nest can use for connection of additional electric devices with a power consumption up to 100 W. Remember that at the idle engine there is a category of the accumulator. Not to damage the socket use only suitable plugs.

Ware box
Only the main emergency key approaches the lock of a box – address subsection Keys, body locks with uniform management and the security alarm system.
For opening of a box pull for the flat handle in the direction of an arrow.
For a box illumination is provided. Lighting joins during the opening of a box and the included headlights / parking fires.
ATTENTION
The bottom of a ware box rises for placement in space under it various objects.
In a cover of a box there are deepenings for glasses with drinks, and also clamps for fastening of writing-materials and a notebook.
Niches
In a forward dividing armrest
For opening of a cover press a key up the direction of an arrow.
Niche for glasses with drinks *
The niche is intended for installation of two glasses with drinks.
ATTENTION
Niche for storage of cartridges *
Audio cassettes can be stored (without cases with folding covers) in the sliding compartments which are cleaning up in the niche intended for them. Blocking of coils prevents spontaneous unwinding of a tape and by that its deformation.
For opening of a compartment shift a key B back.
The cartridge is put in a compartment by the open party up. At the same time on the left side of a compartment the red tag has to be visible.
Bokaloderzhatel
On the right side of the average console, near a number of switches, there is a bokaloderzhatel.
For unlocking press a key (shooter).
ATTENTION
Niche for storage of the folder with documents of the car
The folder with documents, as shown in an illustration can be stored in a dashboard niche on the party of the driver.

In a covering of doors there are niches.

Multipurpose steering wheel with governing bodies of radio *
On the panel of a steering wheel of cars with radio system of a factory complete set governing bodies of elementary functions are mounted. It allows the driver to distract as little as possible from driving during the movement. Certainly, also management of radio, the tape recorder / CD player and directly the corresponding keys of these devices is possible.

Notes on use of phone
Use Audi phone according to the operation manual. Besides, take into consideration the following:
After turning on of ignition / phone and input of the PIN code automatic process of data read-out of memory of the SIM card is carried out.
Remember that in case of replacement of the SIM card or after change / addition / removal from memory of data login is possible only after the subsequent switching off and inclusion of ignition. Process of reading lasts, depending on the number of the data which are stored in memory, up to 90 seconds. At this time on the display of an information system of the driver (FIS) the message "BITTE WARTEN appears..." (wait).
If necessary it is urgent to call, this process can be interrupted with short-term pressing of any command key of a tube adapter. At the same time process of data read-out of memory of the SIM card is interrupted. Besides, this process is interrupted also at receipt of a call.
Along with already mentioned indication "BITTE WARTEN..." (wait), on the FIS display the following messages can be displayed:
– KARTE BITTE – (install the card)
in phone there is no SIM card
– PIN BITTE – (enter the PIN code)
the PIN code is not entered
– KEIN SERVICE – (lack of communication)
there is no communication with a telephone network

Change of option of language
According to the standard a conclusion to indication of operating modes is carried out in German. In need of installation of other language do the following:
Change of option of language is possible only in the mode of "Radio". For an entrance to this mode (if the Phone mode is included), press a key C.
Press within at least five seconds at the same time keys C and F. On the display of an information system of the driver (FIS) indication of the established language appears (for example, DEUTSCH).
As keys A and B it is possible to choose desirable language.
Confirm the choice with a key F.
Phone *
The automobile radio telephone can be in the average console or a dividing armrest (address an illustration).
Installation of an armrest
For comfort reasons, and also for a possibility of use of phone of passengers of front and back seats, the armrest can be established in one of several fixed provisions.
Press the button (A) in an end face of an armrest and take away it down. Then lift an armrest up, consistently passing the fixed provisions, up to necessary.
Case of the telephone set
To key (V) the armrest cover under which there is phone opens.
Extraction of phone
Pressing of the button (C) phone is released from the holder.
For maintaining telephone negotiations from back seats take away a dividing armrest back.
For installation of an armrest in one of the fixed provisions take away it back. Address an illustration.
For reduction of an armrest in a starting position press the button located in its end face (an arrow A on the left illustration) and take away an armrest against the stop forward.
Possibility of connection of the mobile phone *
Factory preparation gives the chance to connect and use your mobile phone in the car.
Thanks to it it is possible to use completely advantages of a usual automobile radio telephone (for example as the colloquial device, optimum range thanks to outwardly antenna etc.). Besides, the accumulator of the mobile phone is constantly charged.

Antenna of an automobile radio telephone
Before each wash of the car in automatic washing installation unscrew the telephone antenna. The antenna key is in the car.
Mobile phones, radio stations and devices for the business purposes
Stationary installation
At operation of the mobile phones and radio stations which are available on sale consider the following:
The subsequent installation of electric / electronic devices is connected with need of permission to operation for the car of this model and under certain circumstances can lead to loss of the right for their operation.
Installation of devices of household purpose and for the business purposes (except radio transmitters) is allowed provided that they do not exert impact on direct control of the driver of the car and in the presence of the identification letters "SE".
In addition installed devices which operation can influence control of the driver of the car have to have permission to operation in this car, and also an identification mark – the letter "e".
Installation of radio transmitters in the car requires permission.
The Audi concern allows installation at observance of the following conditions:
– technically correct installation of the antenna,
– external installation of the antenna (with use of a screened cable and coordination of the antenna without reflection),
– effective power of the transmitter in the antenna basis no more than 10 W.

Mobile radio transmitters
Operation of mobile phones or radio stations under following conditions can cause functional violations of electronics of the car:
– lack of the external antenna
– incorrectly installed external antenna
– power of radiation is more than 10 watts.
Therefore in salon it is impossible to use portable radio telephones or radio sets without or with incorrectly installed external antenna.
