6.2.7. Check and replacement of brushes of the generator and regulator of tension

Removal of brushes perhaps without removal of the generator, however, for this purpose it is necessary to remove the top part of the inlet pipeline.

REMOVAL

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative cable (–) of the rechargeable battery at the switched-off ignition. ATTENTION Thereof information from electronic blocks of memory as, for example, a radio receiver code is erased. Without code the radio receiver can be switched on only by the manufacturer or HUNDRED AUDIS. Therefore get acquainted with materials of the subsection Input of a Code of the Radio Receiver.
2. Take off maple a belt, at the same time address the subsection Removal and installation of a maple belt.
3. Remove the generator.
4. VALEO generator: Disconnect a protective cover of the generator.
5. Disconnect tension regulator from a reverse side of the generator and carefully take out it.
	6. Replace brushes if their length makes 5 mm or less. For this purpose unsolder a wire.
7. Check contact rings for wear, if necessary pierce them and grind.
8. Clear contact surfaces and check a tension of contact springs, if necessary replace.
INSTALLATION
	9. Insert brushes (A) and springs (V) into the brush holder (C) and solder ropes.
10. That at the soldering of new brushes to exclude hit of solder on ropes, hold ropes of brushes flat-nose pliers. ATTENTION As a result of solder hit the rope becomes excessively rigid, and a brush disabled.
11. The isolating hose over a rope has to be clamped near the place of the soldering together with the available ear.
12. Check after installation new brushes for ease of movement in brush holders.
13. Fix manually tension regulator by one bolt, then carefully press it into final situation and fix.
14. Fix a protective cover of the generator.
15. Install the generator into place.
16. Establish maple a belt, at the same time address the subsection Removal and installation of a ridge maple belt.
17. Attach a negative cable (–) to the rechargeable battery. ATTENTION Make active automatic equipment of safety of power windows, and also determine time and enter a radio receiver code, at the same time address the subsection Removal and installation of the rechargeable battery and to the subsection Input of a Code of the Radio Receiver.
