3.6.3. Removal and installation of a maple belt

REMOVAL

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the lower cover of a motive compartment, address the subsection Removal and installation of the lower cover of a motive compartment.
2. Turbodiesel (TDI): Remove a connecting pipe between the intercooler and a turbocompressor. For this purpose weaken collars.
3. If the belt is established again, it is necessary to mark the direction of its rotation. For this purpose the felt-tip pen on a belt puts an arrow in the direction of its rotation. The engine, looking on the right side of the car, rotates to the right, that is clockwise.
4. Weaken a belt tension. For this purpose turn the tension device a cap key of 16 mm in the direction of an arrow. Klinova take off a belt at first from a generator pulley. The pulley of the generator is located near a tension roller on the right.
INSTALLATION
5. Pull the tension device a flat cap key of 16 mm and put on maple a belt pulleys. In the last turn put on a belt a generator pulley (at a tension roller on the right).
ATTENTION

At installation of the belt which was in work you watch the direction of its rotation. The engine, looking on the right side of the car, rotates to the right, that is in the direction of an hour hand. Installation of a belt in an opposite direction results in the increased wear of a belt.
6. Then slowly release a natyazhitel. At the same time you monitor the correct provision of a maple belt on pulleys. The tension of a belt is established automatically.
7. Turbodiesel (TDI): Insert a connecting pipe between the intercooler and a turbocompressor and fix it by collars.
8. Start the engine and visually check work of a belt.
9. Establish the lower cover of a motive compartment, address the subsection Removal and installation of the lower cover of a motive compartment.
