3.6.2. Removal and installation of a head of cylinders on the diesel engine

Head of cylinders. Diesel engine
1 – laying of a head of cylinders. Pay attention to marking.
2 – bolt, 20 N of m
3 – head of cylinders. Is not subject to processing.
4 – eye
5 – bolt of fastening of a head of cylinders. It is necessary to replace surely. Bolts drag on in the sequence corresponding to the 4-cylinder petrol engine
6 – oil separator
7 – cover of a head of cylinders. Consolidation is vulcanized. At damage the cover of a head of cylinders has to be replaced entirely.
8 – cover
9 – an opening cover for oil filling. Replace consolidation at violation of tightness.		10 - to an absorption hose
11 – collar
12 – valve of adjustment of pressure
13 – consolidation. At damage replace.
14 – a nut with a fillet, 10 N of m. Grease an adjacent surface if the nut does not reach an emphasis
15 – the washer is sealing top. At damage replace.
16 – sealing cone lower
17 – fuel-supply lines. Fuel-supply lines are replaced surely in a set. Do not change a form of fuel-supply lines. Moment of an inhaling of 25 N of m.
18 – vacuum pump. For the amplifier of a brake.
19 – bolt, 20 N of m
20 – consolidation. It is necessary to replace surely.

REMOVAL
ATTENTION

The operations and instructions existing for all engines are given in the section for 4-tsilidrovy petrol engines. In the real subsection only the differences relating to the diesel engine are described.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Take off maple a belt, address the subsection Removal and installation of a maple belt.
2. Disconnect electric wires from the device of a stop and spark plugs.
3. Clear a cold cleaner fuel-supply lines at accessions of TNVD and disconnect them. Close openings caps.
ATTENTION

Wipe with a rag the flowed-out motive oil. Disconnect pipelines of giving and return of oil at a turbocompressor. Close pipelines polyethylene and rubber rings to exclude dirt hit.

4. Disconnect the pipeline of supply of oil to a turbocompressor at holders and the holder of an oil filter.
5. Turn off bolts of fastening and remove the holder of a pipe of cooling liquid. Remove a pipe.
ATTENTION

Wipe with a rag the flowed-out diesel fuel. Disconnect fuel hoses (shooters) of TNVD. At the same time unclench pincers, for example, HAZET 798–5, collars. Close pipelines polyethylene and rubber rings for protection against dirt.

6. Rasstykuyte pressure/temperature sensor socket-2 at the soaking-up pipe.
7. Disconnect a pipe of air supply –1– from a head of cylinders.
8. Remove the top cover of a gear belt.
9. Turn off two bolts of fastening of a cover of a gear belt behind on both sides of a head of cylinders.
10. Turn the engine in VMT and take off a gear belt from a camshaft pulley, address the subsection Installation of the Piston of the first cylinder in VMT.
11. Remove a pulley of a gear belt of the camshaft, address the subsection Removal and installation of a gear belt.
12. Completely turn off a nut of a tension roller.
13. At the diesel engine bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders with internal vents are established. Therefore their otvorachivaniye requires a special key, for example, of HAZET 990 Sig-12. Turn off bolts in the sequence, their return numbering, that is with 10 on 1.
14. Take out by means of assistants a head of cylinders sideways from the protection cover of a gear belt and at the same time shoot a tension video.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The head of cylinders of the diesel engine is not subject to processing.
2. For centering of a head of cylinders screw the screw-driver 3070 in external openings of bolts of fastening the directing fingers of AUDI-3070/9. Instruction: If the specified fingers are unavailable, instead of them old bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders with the cut-off heads can be used. For an otvorachivaniye of the fingers received thus it is recommended to make on a cut bottom under the screw-driver.
3. Depending on excess of pistons on thickness various laying of a head of cylinders is established. When replacing laying pay attention to its marking and apply new laying only with the same marking. Arrow-1-: Number of the spare part, arrow-2-: the operating code (do not pay attention), an arrow-3-: = marking (openings).
4. If new pistons are installed, check excess of pistons and according to it apply new laying (work HUNDRED).
5. Insert by means of the assistant a head of cylinders into the protection cover of a gear belt and at the same time put on a tension roller.
ATTENTION

At installation of a head of cylinders do not bend the heat-shielding screen of a final collector back ears of laying.

6. Bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders drag on in four inclusion in the sequences with 1 on 10. The moments of an inhaling are given in Specifications.
