11.1.1. Removal, check and installation of a spherical support

CHECK

ATTENTION

Lifting operation and installations of the car on supports is connected with danger! Therefore before carrying out operation get acquainted with Poddomkrachivaniye's subsection of the car.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports.
2. Wring out with a force the lever up and pull down. At the same time you watch a support.
3. Press strongly a wheel from below outside and inside. At the same time you watch a spherical support.
4. At both checks existence of a notable side play in a spherical support is not allowed. It is necessary to consider existence of a side play in the bearing of a wheel or a support of a depreciation rack.
5. Check existence of damages to a rubber casing. If damages are available, the hinge should be replaced.
REMOVAL
6. you nimit a depreciation rack together with the case of the wheel bearing, address the subsection Removal and installation of a depreciation rack and the case of the wheel bearing.
7. Turn off a nut of fastening of a spherical support a cranked cap key or the AUDI tool – 3077. If the finger is turned, keep its angular key (A) the Torx T30 size.
8. Vypressuyte a finger of a spherical support a stripper – 1–, for example, Hazet 779 from the case of the wheel bearing. At the same time you watch to damaging a rubber cover.

INSTALLATION

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Fix a spherical support with the new self-stopped nut on the case of the wheel bearing. A nut tighten the moment of 45 N • m, holding a pin from a provorachivaniye Torx T30 key.
2. Establish into place a depreciation rack and the case of the wheel bearing, address the subsection Removal and installation of a depreciation rack and the case of the wheel bearing.

Wheel bearing

Signs of the damaged bearing are noise on abrupt turns and the heavy course of a wheel at the released brake.
