11.1.3. Dismantling of a depreciation rack / removal and installation of the shock-absorber / screw spring
Elements of a depreciation rack
ATTENTION
The spring to be under loading, contracts adaptation, Dangerously!
1 – shock-absorber. Replace only in a set
2 – compression course buffer
3 – protection cover
4 – the spring is screw.
5 – plate
6 – the bearing is persistent | 7 – support of a depreciation rack
8 – nut, 60 N • m. After each otvorachivaniye replace. Turns away only after compression of a spring adaptation.
9 – the aligning cup, 60 N • m
10 – nut, 60 N • m. Self-stopped, surely replace. |

PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove a depreciation rack, address the subsection Removal and installation of a depreciation rack and the case of the wheel bearing.
ATTENTION
The spring is under big effort. To have a possibility of removal of the shock-absorber, the spring should be squeezed the corresponding adaptation.
The nut of the shock-absorber should be turned off only in that case when the spring is compressed by adaptation!

| 2. Squeeze a spring the corresponding adaptation – 1– and boots – 2–. |
ATTENTION
Insert the device in spring rounds so that it is reliable to capture rounds and adaptation could not slip out. The spring is compressed by big effort therefore use only reliable adaptation. Do not pull together a spring with a wire at all. Danger of accident!
| | 3. Turn off a nut of fastening of a depreciation rack, holding at the same time from a provorachivaniye a face key 7 mm. The cranked cap key is necessary for a nut. In case of use of the tool – 3– (AUDI – 3186 or HAZET 2593 - 21 complete with 2100 - 07) the usual dynamometer key can be applied to tightening. | | 4. Slowly unload a spring, remove separate details. | | 5. Check the shock-absorber, address the subsection Check of the Shock-absorber. | | 6. If necessary utilize the shock-absorber, address the subsection Utilization of the Shock-absorber. | |
INSTALLATION
ATTENTION There are springs of various classes of accuracy. It is necessary to apply only identical marking (color marking).
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. The new spring is protected from corrosion by a varnish. Before installation of springs check integrity of a varnish covering and if necessary restore it. | | 2. Squeeze a spring the corresponding adaptation and insert into the shock-absorber. You watch that the end of a spring adjoined to an emphasis of the lower plate. | | 3. Collect a depreciation rack according to an illustration Elements of a depreciation rack. | 4. Tighten a new nut the moment of 60 N • m, holding at the same time a rod a face key of 7 mm.
ATTENTION To establish a dynamometer key, as the tool it is possible to use AUDI – 3186 or HAZET 2593 - 21 complete with 2100 - 07 to deduction from a provorachivaniye.
