10.8. Removal and installation of a brake hose
Brake hoses and pipelines carry out contact of the main brake cylinder with wheel cylinders.
ATTENTION
Rigid metal pipelines have to be laid in conditions HUNDRED since it demands the corresponding qualification.
As flexible communications between rigid mobile elements of the brake system, for example, supports, and a body of the car apply hoses. In the presence of visible damages hoses have to be replaced.
If the tank of brake fluid completely appeared without liquid (for example, owing to leakage in system or as a result of removal of air when forgot to add liquid in the empty tank) air gets into the pump ABS. In this case air from system should be deleted from safety reasons in conditions HUNDRED with use of the special device. In the presence of EDS it is in addition necessary to carry out adjustment with application of a tester. At installation of a new brake hose it is also necessary to remove air from system with use of the special device.
Do not allow contact of brake hoses with oil and fuel, do not coat brake hoses or means for protection of the bottom of the car against corrosion.

Follow the rules of the treatment of brake fluid provided In subsection Brake fluid.

| 1. Lift and install the car on supports. | | 2. Remove a support, at the same time address the subsection Removal and installation of a brake disk / support. | | 3. Disconnect a brake hose at a guide and the holder of the coupling. | 4. Disconnect a brake hose from the pipeline and at a support. At the same time do not twist a brake hose. If it is necessary to replace a brake hose at a support, it is necessary to remove a support previously.
ATTENTION
Wipe with a rag the flowed-out brake fluid. Close the corresponding stopper connection of the pipeline in the direction of the brake cylinder.

INSTALLATION
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Establish only brake hoses resolved by the plant – manufacturer. Establish a new hose so that it sagged without twisting and fix by its moment 15 N • m to the brake pipeline.
ATTENTION Fix a hose to a support with new sealing rings, a connecting bolt (a hollow bolt) to a support fix by the moment 35 N • m.

After installation at the unloaded wheels, having lifted the car, turn a steering wheel on the left and to the right and check that the hose followed all movements of a wheel, without concerning adjacent designs. | | 3. Establish a support, at the same time address the subsection Removal and installation of a brake disk / support. | | 4. Lower the car on wheels. | 5. Check on the car standing on the earth whether the hose follows all movements of a wheel, without concerning adjacent designs.
ATTENTION
carry out reliability inspection:
– Whether fastenings of brake hoses are reliably tightened?
– Whether the brake hose is fixed in the holder?
– Whether unions of removal of air are tightened?
– Whether it is enough in the tank of brake fluid?
– At the working engine check tightness of system. For this purpose press a brake pedal by effort 200 – 300 N (20 – 30 kg) during 10 pages. The pedal should not depart. Check all connections for tightness.
