| 1. Mark paint the provision of back wheels concerning a nave. It will allow to establish at assembly the balanced wheel in its former situation. Weaken bolts of fastening of a wheel on the car standing on the earth. Lift the car, put it on supports and remove back wheels. |
| 2. Release a cable of the parking brake. Remove sideways a clip – 1–. Press the lever at a support in the direction of an arrow and disconnect a brake cable – 3–. |
| 3. Disconnect a support above and below. At the same time hold the directing finger a wrench. Remove the case, the brake hose remains attached. |
| 4. Remove a support and tie it a wire to a body. The brake hose should not be tense. |
| 5. Take out brake shoes and clamps from a guide. |
INSTALLATION
ATTENTION Do not press a brake pedal at the removed blocks. Otherwise the piston will be squeezed out from the case. In this case remove a support in a set and insert it into place in conditions HUNDRED.

6. Clear the directing surfaces and places of landing of blocks in the mine a rag and alcohol. Do not apply for this purpose the solvents containing mineral oils or the tool with sharp edges.
ATTENTION
Apply to cleaning of a brake only alcohol.

| 7. Before installation of blocks check a brake disk, having felt it fingers. In the presence of zadir brake disks are subject to replacement. |
| 8. Measure disk thickness, if necessary replace worn-out disks, at the same time address the subsection Check of Thickness of a Brake Disk. |
| 9. Check existence of cracks on a piston boot. In the presence of damages at once replace a boot as the got dirt quickly leads to loss of tightness of a support. The support for this purpose has to understand (work HUNDRED). |
| 10. Screw the piston, rotating it to the right side (clockwise) a special key of AUDI – 3272, putting for this purpose considerable effort. The fillet (an arrow at the left) the tool has to adjoin to a support. At a heavy piston stroke rotate a wrench 13 mm for lysk (A) of the tool. |
ATTENTION The piston of a brake cannot be rotated by means of the device for return of the piston or the hammer handle, otherwise it is possible to damage the mechanism of installation of the parking brake.
It is possible to use also the HAZET 4970/3 tool.

11. If the special tool is unavailable, make the corresponding steel plate and insert it into both grooves of the piston of a brake. The strong movement rotate the piston.
ATTENTION At rotation of the piston brake fluid from the brake cylinder in the tank is squeezed out. You watch liquid level in the tank, if necessary remove surplus.
Apply a plastic bottle which intends only for this purpose to suction of brake fluid. Do not apply for this purpose a bottle to drinking liquid! Brake fluid is poisonous. It is impossible to suck away it a mouth through a hose at all. Apply a siphon to this purpose. After replacement of brake shoes liquid level in a tank should not exceed the mark MAX in a tank since when heating brake fluid extends. The following liquid flows down on the brake cylinder, destroying a covering and leading to corrosion.

| 12. Insert in directing a new clamp. |
| 13. Insert in directing brake shoes. Remove a protective film on the return plate from new brake shoes. |
14. Establish a support and tighten the moment 30 N • m new bolts of fastening.
ATTENTION In a repair kit are available four self-stopped a bolt which need to be established surely.

| 15. Press the lever – 2– at a support in the direction of an arrow and connect a cable – the 3-parking brake. Insert a clip – 1– sideways at a support. |
16. Adjust the parking brake, at the same time address the subsection Adjustment of the Parking Brake.
ATTENTION
The pedal of a brake can be pressed only after adjustment of the parking brake.

17. Establish back wheels so that the markings put at removal coincided. Wrap bolts of fastening of a wheel. Lower the car on wheels and wrap bolts of fastening of wheels a cross – crosswise the moment of 120 N • m.
ATTENTION
Several times strongly press a brake pedal so that the distinct resistance of a pedal was felt. Thus, blocks will lie down to a brake disk and will take the place.

18. Check the level of brake fluid in the tank. If necessary add to the mark MAX.
ATTENTION
carry out reliability inspection:
– Whether fastenings of brake hoses are reliably tightened?
– Whether the brake hose is fixed in the holder?
– Whether unions of removal of air are tightened?
– Whether it is enough in the tank of brake fluid?
– At the working engine check tightness of system. For this purpose press a brake pedal by effort 200 – 300 N (20 – 30 kg) during 10 pages. The pedal should not depart. Check all connections for tightness

19. Carefully let's be earned extra to new brake shoes. For this purpose several times slow down the car from speed 80 to 40 km/h slightly pressing a pedal. Between braking let's be cooled to a brake.
ATTENTION In a number of regions brake shoes have to be utilized as special material. Local authorities have to inform drivers on places of the allowed utilization.
