Instead of RKPP the AUDI A3 car can be equipped with the 4-staged automatic transmission (AT). In the course of start-off from the place of AT performs function of ordinary coupling, and during the movement performs work on gear shifting.
The AT main hubs are: torque converter, planetary reducer and hydraulic or electronic control system. Hydrodriving disk brakes and disk coupling are applied to transition to another transfer the relation in a planetary reducer.
The torque converter on the functions corresponds to hydraulic coupling. Its task includes implementation of coupling at start-off from the place and gear shifting.
Control of pressing when switching is exercised by the electronic device instead of the hydraulics applied in usual RKPP. Thus, there is fuller information for better management of switching process that gives the chance to choose the optimum transfer relation depending on the mode of operation of the car and desire of the driver that, in turn, allows to increase quality of process of gear shifting.
There are no manual programs "Economy" or "Sport". The monitor distinguishes on the speed with which the pedal is pressed whether the driver wants to go "is sports" or is "economic" and according to it operates the switching moment. Whether in management of process of switching also resistance to the movement is considered, for example, the car uphill or from the mountain moves whether there is a trailer and a head wind.
With malfunctions in chains of signals of sensors or electromagnetic valves switching to the emergency program of the movement is made, at the same time malfunctions register in memory of malfunctions. After them it is possible to consider from memory of the device.
The corresponding experience with AT and qualification are necessary for job evaluation and for the correct search of malfunctions.
