7.4. Adjustment of the drive of switching

Correctly to execute adjustment of the drive, RKPP, coupling and the drive of coupling have to be correct. Besides, elements of the drive and transfer of the drive have to have the easy course and to be completely serviceable.

Engines of 1.6 l

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish RKPP in neutral situation, tighten the parking brake.
2. Open a cover of the lever of switching and pull it upward.
3. Open a collar (the shooter on an illustration) on RKPP. Connection draft the switching/lever of the choice has to have the easy course.
4. Turn off at the switching lever bolts-1-and-2-and press an emphasis on the right side down (an arrow on an illustration).
5. Again tighten a bolt –1–.
6. Insert AUDI-3421 caliber.
7. Expose draft of switching so that it was not affected by efforts (RKPP in neutral situation) and tighten a collar the moment of 20 N of m.
8. Remove caliber.
9. In conclusion include a backing.
10. Turn off a bolt –1–. Remark: At the same time the left side of an emphasis nestles.
11. Tighten bolts –1– and –2 moment of 25 N of m.
12. Switch off a backing.
13. Switch all transfers, they have to freely and without jammings to switch. Especially it is necessary to pay attention to work of blocking of a backing.
14. Record a casing and the handle of gear shifting.
L engines 1.8 and 1.9
15. Establish RKPP in neutral situation, tighten the parking brake.
16. Open a cover of the lever of switching and pull it upward.
17. Remove a damper on the switching lever, at the same time address an illustration.
18. Turn off a bolt (A) and a nut (V) so that the cable of the drive of switching and a capture/cable of the choice freely moved in oval openings.
19. Turn off a bolt (C) for what if necessary remove foam consolidation around a bolt.
20. Establish caliber of the lever of switching of AUDI-3422.
21. Turn a hook for fastening of caliber under a plate of a support and tighten a nut (D).
22. Fix the switching lever in the left part of a movable element, the shooter on an illustration.
23. Press the switching lever with a movable element to the left, in the direction of an arrow against the stop, and fix a movable element by the screw (E).
24. Press the lever to the right, against the direction of an arrow, and record.
25. Tighten a bolt (C) the moment of 15 N of m.
26. Insert a wedge and the fixing pin of AUDI-3192/1. Enter a wedge between the lever of switching and a cover so that there was no gap.

ATTENTION

At the same time the lever of switching should not rise a wedge.


27. In this situation tighten a bolt with a fillet (A) the moment of 25 N m and a nut of fastening (V) the moment of 15 N of m.
28. Remove the wedge fixing a pin and caliber of the lever.
29. Install into place the handle of the lever and a cover.
30. Fix a damper on the switching lever by the moment of 25 N of m.
Adjustment check
31. The lever of switching has to stand in neutral situation in a cut for the third and fourth transfer.
32. Include coupling, start the engine, wait about 3 - 6 with that the shaft of RKPP stopped. Then switch several times all transfers. Pay special attention to inclusion of a backing.
33. If the drive at repeated inclusion of transfer still jams, it is necessary to check the lever shaft course as follows:
34. Include the first transfer.
35. Press the switching lever by the included first transfer on the left. At the same time ask the assistant to check a lever shaft. The lever shaft when moving the lever has to have the course about 1 mm in the direction (shooters on an illustration).
36. If it does not occur, switch off the first transfer and once again turn off a nut of fastening (A) of a pin of a capture/cable of the lever of the choice. The cable of the lever of the choice has some side play caused by a transfer element at a pin.
37. Liquidate a switching lever cable side play, having pressed it with a pin slightly in the direction of a car back (the shooter illustrations). Clamp a nut (A) in this situation the moment of 15 N of m.
38. Record a cover and the handle.
